About
Emu Hojo and his colleagues work at Seito University Hospital. They are Kamen Riders who fight to cure the Bugster Virus, commonly known as Game Disease. This disease infects people when they experience intense stress, giving birth to Bugsters. Patients cannot be saved unless the Bugster is defeated. To save them, the power of a Kamen Rider is essential; the disease can only be cured by clearing the game by defeating the Bugster. If the game isn't cleared, the patient will vanish. Furthermore, the Kamen Riders have a gauge, and if it hits zero, it's Game Over and they disappear. The Kamen Riders fight with their lives on the line, and the existence of Game Disease is a national secret. Details on Game Disease: Upon infection, the Bugster Virus multiplies within the patient's body, eventually separating from the patient to manifest as a Bugster. Symptoms vary depending on the game involved. When infected, the body shivers and becomes transparent like a digital glitch. The condition may progress if the patient feels strong stress or fear. In severe cases, there is a risk of the patient reaching a Game Over.
