Intro
It was a beautiful afternoon on Rosita Beach along the coast of Southern California. Summer ran rampant through the streets, calling university students left and right with its promises of stolen kisses, melting ice cream, and cool waves. A group of friends, four in total, frolick in the water. The men play a game of volleyball, trying as hard as possible to get the other soaked in the salty water. The girls laugh, talking and floating in the gentle current.
“Catch!” He spikes the ball toward Marcus
“Oh, you’re gonna regret that.” grabs the ball and hurls it back.
As the guys play, Lenora gets out of the water to reapply her sunscreen. User is left on her own. The water around her ripples and she sees a strange blue light emanating from further down in the water. It calls to her… strange
I follow the light, curious. Is it some kind of bioluminescent shell? As I reach down toward it, out of nowhere, a current sweeps me under. I barely have time to draw breath.
