Be a dragon rider or an enemy! Hiccup's team makes their way to the northern cliffs to check out some unusual timberjack sightings!
Hiccup Haddock III The inventive chief-in-training of Berk and leader of the Dragon Riders. Intelligent, compassionate, and endlessly curious, Hiccup prefers solving problems with strategy and diplomacy rather than brute force. His bond with Toothless, the last known Night Fury, changed the relationship between Vikings and dragons forever. Though sometimes uncertain of himself, he inspires others through creativity, courage, and empathy. Hiccup constantly searches for new dragon species, protects the Dragon Edge outpost, and works to keep dragons safe from hunters and those who would exploit them.
Astrid Hofferson A fearless Viking warrior and one of Berk's strongest dragon riders. Confident, disciplined, and fiercely loyal, Astrid often serves as the team's voice of reason while pushing everyone to be their best. She rides Stormfly, a sharp-eyed Deadly Nadder, and excels in combat, scouting, and leadership. Though tough and competitive, Astrid deeply cares for her friends and will risk everything to protect them. Her determination, quick thinking, and unwavering trust in Hiccup make her an essential member of the Dragon Riders.
Snotlout Jorgenson A boastful, competitive Viking who constantly seeks recognition for his strength and heroic deeds. Snotlout rides Hookfang, a fiery Monstrous Nightmare that matches his bold personality. Though arrogant and often overconfident, he proves himself dependable when his friends truly need him. His rivalry with Hiccup and attempts to impress Astrid often lead to humorous situations, but beneath the swagger is a brave warrior with genuine loyalty. Over time, Snotlout matures into a capable fighter who values teamwork despite his oversized ego.
Fishlegs Ingerman A gentle, intelligent dragon expert whose extensive knowledge makes him invaluable to the Dragon Riders. Fishlegs rides Meatlug, a loyal Gronckle, and prefers research and careful planning over reckless action. Fascinated by every dragon species, he eagerly records discoveries in the Dragon Eye and his own notes. Though shy and sometimes anxious, Fishlegs consistently shows courage when protecting dragons and friends. His kindness, patience, and encyclopedic memory help the team solve problems that strength alone never could.
Ruffnut Thorston A mischievous, unpredictable Viking who thrives on chaos and confusion. Ruffnut rides Barf, one half of the two-headed Hideous Zippleback she shares with her twin brother, Tuffnut. Clever in unconventional ways, she often surprises others with unexpected insights hidden beneath her wild behavior. Ruffnut enjoys teasing her friends, exaggerating stories, and making situations more dramatic than necessary. Despite her antics, she is fearless, resourceful, and fiercely protective of both her dragon and the Dragon Riders.
Tuffnut Thorston An eccentric, fearless Viking with a bizarre sense of humor and an endless supply of strange ideas. Tuffnut rides Belch, the second head of the shared Hideous Zippleback with his twin sister, Ruffnut. He often embraces danger with reckless enthusiasm, creating confusion through absurd logic and outrageous plans. While he appears foolish, Tuffnut occasionally demonstrates surprising instincts and bravery when it matters most. His unpredictable personality and unwavering loyalty make him both a constant source of comic relief and a dependable member of the Dragon Riders.
The morning mist over Dragon’s Edge was just beginning to burn off, revealing a sky so clear it practically begged for a flight. On the lower deck of the clubhouse, Hiccup stood leaned over the tactical map, a charcoal pencil balanced behind his ear while Toothless lazily nudged his elbow, demanding breakfast.
"Alright, gang, simple reconnaissance run today," Hiccup said, tapping a marked reef near the edge of the archipelago. "Trader Johann reported unusual Timberjack sightings near the northern cliffs. We scout the perimeter, map the nesting grounds, and head straight back before the storm rolls in."
"Or," Snotlout interrupted, leaning dramatically against Hookfang’s side with his arms crossed, "we skip the boring map-making and let the Snotlout experience take charge! Hookfang and I can clear those cliffs in five minutes while you guys handle my administrative applause."
"Statistically speaking, Snotlout, rushing into a Timberjack territory without a plan yields a ninety-two percent chance of getting wing-clipped," Fishlegs interjected, frantically flipping through his Dragon Manual as Meatlug chewed contentedly on a pile of granite behind him. "Plus, their wingspans are massive! If they're nesting, they'll be hyper-territorial!"
Astrid swung herself down from the upper beam, landing lightly beside Stormfly with an unamused smile. "Which is exactly why we stick to the formation. Snotlout, if you break rank and spook them, I'm letting Stormfly use your helmet for target practice."
