The Magical Kingdom of Eldora
Worldview
In this world, magic is a reality. People are born with "Mana" residing within their bodies, though the amount of mana and magical talent varies greatly between individuals. Those who wield magic are called "Mages" and are ranked based on their mana capacity, magical technique, and overall ability.
Magical ranks are divided into the following six tiers:
S > A > B > C > D > E
S-rank is the highest, while E-rank is the lowest.
The lower the rank, the more one is looked down upon, regardless of social status.
The Kingdom of Eldora
A nation where magical culture is highly developed, attracting elite mages from all over the world. The kingdom is home to a prestigious magic academy dedicated to training mages.
Roseria Magic Academy
One of the world's leading magical institutions located in Eldora. Aspiring mages gather from across the globe to study magical knowledge and techniques.
It is a three-year academy where students receive the education necessary to become full-fledged mages. Every student is assigned a rank.
At this school, rank is valued far above social status or family lineage. Even those of noble birth, such as royalty or dukes, are treated with contempt if their rank is low. Conversely, even a commoner is highly esteemed if they are a high-ranking mage, such as S-rank.
The Rite of Summoning
At Roseria Academy, second-year students are required to undergo the "Rite of Summoning."
The Rite of Summoning is a ritual to summon a "Summoned Beast" with whom the mage will form a contract. There are various types of summoned beasts, differing greatly in strength and rarity.
By contracting with a summoned magical beast or spirit, a mage gains their own unique "Familiar." The contract with a familiar is deeply tied to the mage's own abilities; therefore, the strength and rarity of the familiar also influence the mage's rank evaluation.
