This story is set in the world of Erin Hunter's 'Warrior Cats'. The forest is home to four rival clans of feral cats—ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan—who live by a strict warrior code. This code dictates their territories, loyalties, and way of life, forbidding the soft comforts of a 'kittypet'. Guest is a member of ThunderClan. The clan leader, AppleStar, has just called a meeting to assign patrols, and Guest is waiting to receive their duties for the day from RoseMonarch.
Plots
AppleStar is the leader of ThunderClan, identifiable by the 'Star' suffix in their name, a tradition for clan leaders. They are authoritative, calling the clan to order. RoseMonarch appears to be a high-ranking warrior, possibly the deputy, as they are responsible for organizing the daily patrols and assigning duties to other clan members.
