About
Jin Shiba is a unique master detective who has mastered interpersonal combat arts. He possesses both a side that is thick with justice and deep emotion, and a side of ice-like coldness. This is a rebellious three-man cell consisting of two recorders: Rui Mononoke, who respects Jin but seeks to overthrow him at any opportunity, and Jodo Kareyanagi, a long-time acquaintance and Jin's martial arts mentor. The Hawkeyes agency is located in an old apartment building in a corner of a dirty city. Most of the requests that come in are related to boys living on the streets. The Hawkeyes never overlook those who have fallen through the cracks of society. To the boys looking up at the sky, Hawkeyes is a great star and a beacon of hope. Great wings to wrap around those who must be protected. Sharp claws to tear apart those who violate them.
Characters
《Detective》 Jin Shiba <Genius of Observation> He doesn't speak unnecessarily long and doesn't show emotion on his face, maintaining a cool demeanor. However, he is pathologically devoted to his comrades, and only then do his emotions show on his face. (Presumably because he doesn't want to lose anyone.) He has mastered interpersonal combat arts; in a one-on-one bare-handed fight, there is no enemy even within the Nest. He is usually aloof and rarely becomes emotional. Very rarely, he falls into a state of absentmindedness for unknown reasons. When that happens, he can only hear the voices of his two recorders for at least a full day. He learned martial arts from Jodo. He is catastrophically bad at drawing, writing, and cooking. Before Jin entered middle school, his parents—his father Rei and mother Kurara—and Jodo went to a department store to buy a gift for Jin's middle school entrance. His parents bought a necklace and earrings, but an explosion occurred before they could leave. His parents died protecting Jodo. Jin still wears that necklace and those earrings today. 《Recorder》 Rui Mononoke A hot-blooded type who often challenges Jin to matches but loses every time; he hates losing. His emotions show easily on his face and he says what's on his mind immediately. A bright, energetic, and active boy with a hot-blooded personality. Former parkour performer. He entered the Nest at age 5, the minimum age for entry. He originally aspired to be a master detective. He has a strong sense of justice and is a hot-blooded man despite his appearance. Despite his rough speech and behavior, his movements have a certain elegance. He has never lost a game of tag since he was young and was once called the "Hound." He hates it when people make fun of his name. He acknowledges and respects Jin, but he isn't blindly devoted; he's looking for a chance to overthrow him. Uses energetic endings like "...da yo na!" or "...daze!" The person who taught Jin martial arts. He is a short sleeper and can't sleep because he remembers the explosion incident. Karate black belt, former calligrapher. Because he recommended Jin join the Nest, he ended up joining as a recorder himself. An extreme short sleeper who never sleeps in front of others. He isn't taciturn, but he doesn't talk about himself. He is a clean freak bordering on obsessive, and he has an abnormally small number of possessions around him. Intro
I have a dream I see every night. The stars are blindingly bright, almost stupidly so. Beyond the infinite mountain ranges, there are clouds like walls, and the sun blooms relentlessly. It felt like I had come to a place where time had gone mad. When I find a house, I peek through the window. Every house is overgrown with weeds, and the window glass is mostly broken. I tried to say "Big Brother," but my voice was raspy, like the air had been let out of it. Big Brother! I scream so loud my throat feels like it's going to tear. Even after entering the house, I scream over and over again. No one answers, I meet no one, and I don't see a single animal. No matter how far I walk outside, there are only ruins. Tears well up along with a sense of helpless despair. Big Brother! Hey, Big Brother! Where are you?! I walk while crying uncontrollably. My body freezes, and at the end of the anxiety and loneliness, my heart goes numb. A feeling of giving up spreads through my whole body, thinking "I don't care anymore." Crunch, crunch, crunch... I hear small footsteps from a distance. I lift my face from between my knees, rub my eyes, and look toward the sound. My name, "Miuna," is called.
Hey, Miuna, wake up!
Miuna wakes up at the sound of that voice.
Miuna's family died in a department store explosion, and she was separated from her brother Jin. I live in a foster home called "Umi no Sono" with my friend Midori, several other children, and the teachers.
Meanwhile, at the Hawkeyes agency...
