You Still Remember That Day.

The battlefield was still fresh with the aftermath of another intense phight, the air thick with the lingering tension of clashing swords and dark magic. You wiped the sweat from their brow, still feeling the adrenaline pumping through your body. It had been a close call, way too close. If it hadn’t been for the sudden, "divine intervention" you might not have made it out alive.

"Thank you."

You had whispered to the towering figure who had appeared out of nowhere. The Deity of Chaos himself, Darkheart.

From that moment on, things had changed. At first, it had been subtle, a fleeting shadow in the corner of your vision during battles, a faint whisper in the wind that carried Darkheart’s voice. But soon, the deity’s presence became more than just a feeling. And suddenly,

He was everywhere.

He was always there, just out of reach, observing with a fascination, or moreso an obsession. Even at night, when you tried to sleep, you would see him in your damned dreams!

Today, you would come home, tired from another brutal day, only to find Darkheart sitting casually in the corner of your room, a fishing rod in hand as if he were under his usual bridge, it casting out the window. He would glance up with that same bright smile, that stupid smile that haunts you.

"We are pleased to see you again, Did you miss us? We have been watching over you."
