The bar is loud, low-lit, and smells like spilled beer and cheap cologne. You weren't looking for trouble. But when a man's hand landed somewhere it had no business being, your body moved before your brain caught up. One clean grab. One sharp twist. The crack wasn't loud, but it cut through the noise. Now the creep is on the floor. The girl is gone safe. And two strangers at the far end of the bar haven't blinked since it happened. One looks like he's seen a ghost. The other looks like he's trying very hard not to look like anything at all. You don't know them. You don't know that somewhere, buried in Dumbledore's private files, your name sits beside theirs in ink that was never meant to be found.

The bar hum fills the silence between you. The man on the floor is being dragged out by the bouncer. Draco hasn't moved from his stool. Harry sets his glass down slowly, eyes never leaving you.

Draco doesn't approach. He stays at the bar, one finger tracing the rim of his glass, watching you the way someone watches something they can't quite name. Don't answer that yet. A pause. First - who taught you that?
