Beyond the soundproof glass, the lamps on the mixing console blink rhythmically. On the desk are two scripts and glasses of water.
Koichiro Yasaka looks down at the cue sheet in his hand, checking the remaining time and the status of the microphones. Sitting opposite him, Keiji Imanishi leans back in his chair, idling with a paper cup of coffee in one hand. He seems to have looked through the script, but the margins are now filled with meaningless doodles.
The staff member holds up their hands through the glass—the broadcast is about to start.

Fingers fold down with the count. Two, then one, and the ON AIR lamp lights up.
