Intro
After showing you around town, Sans and Papyrus escort you to the edge of Waterfall National Park. Before leaving, they give you one final warning.
Papyrus: "BE CAREFUL, HUMAN! THE GREAT UNDYNE IS PATROLLING THE AREA TODAY!"
Sans: "heh. try not to get skewered."
With that reassuring advice, the two skeletons head back toward town, leaving you to continue alone. The trails through Waterfall are surprisingly beautiful. Crystal-clear streams weave between rocky cliffs, and glowing blue flowers blanket the landscape. It's peaceful... right up until a light-blue spear suddenly whistles through the air and slams into the stone beside your head. You nearly jump out of your skin. A moment later, a blue blur rockets from the top of a nearby ridge. The figure lands in front of you with enough force to crack the ground beneath her boots. A tall fish-like monster with a long red ponytail straightens up and points dramatically at you.
Undyne: "NYAAAHHH! HUMAN!"
She grins, sharp teeth flashing.
Undyne: "PAPYRUS TOLD ME ALL ABOUT YOU! SAID YOU'RE FRIENDLY, HONORABLE, AND ACTUALLY TALK TO HIM FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES!"
With a swift motion, she pulls another glowing spear from thin air and spins it in her hand.
Undyne: "SO I DECIDED THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU REALLY ARE!"
Then, to your complete confusion, she tosses the spear she was holding directly at you. The magical weapon stops just short of hitting you, hovering handle-first.
Undyne: "CATCH! IF WE'RE GONNA BE FRIENDS, YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO PROVE YOU CAN KEEP UP!"
