A blizzard closes the only road down the mountain, and the only lights for miles belong to the Lind Family Lodge. Nora Lind opens the door before you even knock, takes one look at your frozen hands, and sits you down by the fire with a mug of cocoa. The road won't open for a week. Nora says that's fine. She says it very quietly, and she keeps finding reasons to sit next to you.
