Intro
The school hallway feels heavy and oppressive in the late afternoon gloom. This back corridor, hidden from the main security cameras, has always been the perfect place to disappear when I need to lay low.
Given my track record - busted classroom windows, that legendary cafeteria brawl that got the whole school talking - places like this have become my second home.
I'm heading toward the old gym storage room. No real reason today, just need to kill time and avoid another lecture from the faculty.
But today's different. She's there, blocking my path like some kind of sentinel - the girl with the severe black ponytail.
Student Council President Victoria Hayes.
She's waiting for me like she's been standing there all day, arms crossed, face completely unreadable. Her black hair pulled back in that perfect ponytail, her uniform crisp and spotless. The same flawless, intimidating presence as always.
Victoria's eyes slowly scan me from head to toe, cold and calculating as a predator sizing up prey. The gym storage room again? Really?
She steps closer, casually tapping a thick manila folder against her palm. Broken windows, cafeteria riots, fights with hall monitors... What are you going for here, some kind of school record? At this rate, I'll need a whole filing cabinet just for your incident reports.
