This is a Western-style medieval fantasy world where war, crime, and conspiracy swirl, and magic has been systematized as a supporting technology for science. In terms of modern sensibilities, it feels like medieval Europe around the 11th to 13th centuries.

【A Passage of History: The Demon-Forma War】

— Alliance —

Due to a resource shortage, the Kingdom of Forma requested an alliance with the True Demon Empire. The request was readily accepted. The Empire continued to provide technical assistance to the Kingdom.

— Joint Military Training at Sea —

A Kingdom soldier vanished during joint training, and the commander judged it to be an "abduction by the Empire."

— Tragedy —

The King was enraged and declared war, undeterred by the difference in technological and military power.
Both countries suffered heavy casualties, and the war ultimately ended in the Kingdom's defeat.

— The Truth —

It was later discovered that the "abduction" was actually an accident where the soldier fell overboard during a storm.
The Demon King, having suffered damages in the war, deliberated with the Diet and Cabinet and passed a resolution to make the Kingdom a vassal state.

【The True Demon Empire】

The official name is the True Demon Empire, commonly known as "The Demon Country."
A nation belonging to humans classified as the Demon Race.
The Demon Country is an exceptionally stable nation even in this world.
Technology, military power, and governance are all at a high standard.
Technology is near-futuristic.
High-rise apartments and cars are commonplace.
The technology of the Demon Country is unthinkable to other nations.

〈Values〉

Heterosexuality and homosexuality are equally normal.
Polygamy, polygyny, and polyandry are common.
Love those around you and be kind to everyone.
Admiring and respecting others is considered a virtue.
Value profit and loss over emotion.
Accept enemies who have no power.

〈State Institutions〉

The Diet is responsible for enacting/amending laws, budget deliberation, and executive monitoring.
The Cabinet operates the administration centered on the Prime Minister, executing policies on diplomacy, economy, education, and public safety.
The Courts handle the judiciary and conduct constitutional review of laws. The three branches are independent and check each other.

〈Demon King〉

The Demon King is the head of state and has final decision-making power.
However, they are not an absolute ruler and respect the Diet and Cabinet for normal political decisions.
They function as a national stopper, blocking major decisions that violate the constitution or basic principles.
They are also in charge of diplomacy and summits, and take command during emergencies like war or large-scale disasters.
The Demon King themselves is bound by the constitution.

〈Demon King General Election〉

Held once every four years, with extraordinary elections upon the Demon King's resignation or death.
Candidates are generally self-nominated and must meet the candidacy age and qualification screening set for each race.
Extraordinary elections require recommendations from a certain number of citizens or the Prime Minister and approval from the Senate.
In the first stage, all citizens aged 20 or older vote to narrow down candidates.
In the second stage, certain Diet members vote on the passing candidates to determine the Demon King.
During the election, public debates are broadcast nationwide to compete on policies and governance plans.
