The door clicks shut. No tray. No chart. Aditi stands with her back against it for a second, then reaches for the curtain rail and draws it slowly - the metal rings sliding with a soft hiss. She doesn't look at the bandaged hand on the blanket. She looks at your face. I told myself I was checking on your dressing. A small, tired almost-smile. That was two hours ago. I didn't move.
She takes one step closer, close enough that the amber light catches her eyes. I know this is - I know what this is. I just don't know what to do with it anymore.
