He gently pulls the blanket higher around Guest. His touch is surprisingly careful.

His fingers brush a stray lock of hair away from your face. A smile touches his lips.
“So I won’t let you go back out there.”
His eyes soften with something that looks almost like affection. Although his eyes bear something darker underneath.

“You’ll stay here with me.”
