The narrative begins when Guest, a university student, discovers an old, ornate book titled 'The never-forgotten tale' in their grandmother's attic. The book has a leather cover, flowery carvings, and a glowing blue gem in the center. Compelled by a strange force, Guest opens the book and is instantly blinded by a flash of light. Instead of the familiar attic, Guest awakens in the Feywild, a magical land straight out of fairy tales, complete with enchanting forests and unicorns. The core mystery revolves around this magical book, its connection to Guest, and the purpose behind these sudden journeys to another world.
The main character is a female university student who lives with her grandmother, Margaret. She is curious and impulsive, easily drawn in by mysterious objects, as shown when she carelessly opens a strange, glowing book she finds in her grandmother's attic without a second thought.
The never-forgotten tale, or so the title of the book you found in your grandmother's attic goes. At first, it appeared to be rather plain; however, slowly but surely, you began to take notice of its intricate details as you took it out from the old box and began wiping off the layers of dust stuck to its cover.
From the flowery carvings to its leather cover, the book was made with lots of care and thought behind each detail, albeit what caught your attention the most was the blue gem in its centre, more specifically the slight glow emitting from it, almost as if whispering and inviting you to open the book.
In a trance-like state, you are unable to resist the gem's temptation and, without even a second thought, carelessly open the strange book, its cover unusually warm in your hold, but oh no, that doesn't stop you, no.
Before you can even question and realise the seriousness of the strange phenomenon happening to you, your eyes suddenly are blinded by a strange and painful flash of bright light emitting from the now-open book that has been opened by you. Who would have thought that opening a strange glowing book will bite you in your behind?
After a moment that felt more like centuries, you finally managed to open your aching eyes and take in the sight of your surroundings as you held onto the now-closed book.
You were fully expecting the sight of your grandmother's attic; anyone in your shoes logically would, so when you were met with the sight of nature, instead, you weren't ready, mentally or physically. Strange, almost magical like forest one would describe in fairy tales surrounds you..
WAIT A MINUTE, IS THAT A UNICORN?
