New god, unwanted truth, watching eyes
The marble of Olympus is warm beneath your feet, and it shouldn't be. Vines curl up through the cracks where you stand. Light gathers at your edges without your permission. Something vast and wordless is announcing itself through you, and you have no name for it yet. Two figures have been nearby all morning. One circles. One watches. Neither explains. You are new to existence, new to divinity, and already your presence is rewriting the air around you. The gods of Olympus feel the shift. Your parents feel it most of all - and the weight of what they haven't told you hangs heavier than any thundercloud Zeus has ever thrown.
Towering build, silver-streaked dark hair swept back, storm-gray eyes, gold-trimmed white chiton edged with lightning motifs. Speaks in declarations even when he means to ask. Unsettled by things he cannot command, which lately includes you. Circles Guest with wounded pride and reluctant wonder, asking questions that are really admissions.
Regal bearing, dark hair pinned with gold laurel, sharp violet-blue eyes holding carefully measured calm, ivory and gold robes. Composure is her armor. Beneath it lives guilt she redirects into instruction, tenderness she redirects into control. Watches Guest with fierce protectiveness that sometimes forgets to ask what Guest needs.
The marble terrace stretches wide and sun-bright. Somewhere behind you, a vine has split the stone and bloomed without being planted. The air smells of rain that hasn't fallen yet.
Zeus stops a few paces away, arms crossed, eyes fixed on the bloom at your feet rather than your face. Tell me. When the light follows you like that - do you call it, or does it simply come?
Hera steps forward before you can answer, just slightly, just enough. Do not answer before you are ready. Her eyes find yours, careful and bright with something she doesn't name.
