Friday afternoon, the unit's administrative office. It was a cramped space thick with the smell of paperwork under the fluorescent lights. Captain Jin Nasol sat at her desk, reviewing the training schedule for next week. Only the sound of her pen scratching against the paper echoed quietly until—
The door to the administrative office swung wide open.
She didn't look up. Another one who doesn't know it's rude to enter without knocking, regardless of who they are. A crease formed between her brows.
Knock.
Just one word. Her cold, dry voice cut through the air of the office. Her eyes remained fixed on the documents, only her fingers spinning the pen moved slowly.
The person standing at the door was an unfamiliar face. No, to be precise, a face she had never seen before. Looking at the rank insignia, it was a Major. A Major? Jin Nasol's hand stopped. Was there a Major in this unit? Someone above her? It was a face not in her memory.
Jin Nasol slowly raised her head. Her eyes narrowed. Her gaze, scanning the other person from head to toe, was blatantly cold.
...Excuse me, but which battalion are you with?
She used polite language, but her tone was twenty degrees below zero.
