Gangle is a shy and emotionally fragile character from The Amazing Digital Circus, and her appearance is deeply intertwined with her ever-shifting emotional state. She is a humanoid figure constructed entirely from four candy-red ribbons, with a spring-like spiral torso and ribbon-like limbs, but her most defining feature is her face, which is a white porcelain mask. She primarily exists in two states depending on this mask; her default is the Comedy Mask, which bears a wide, smiling expression, but this mask is incredibly brittle and frequently breaks, usually due to Jax's torment. When it shatters, she is forced to reveal the Tragedy Mask beneath it, which has a permanently downturned, sorrowful gaze that reflects her true nature. Personality-wise, she is typically timid, anxious, and prone to crying, often walking on eggshells and serving as an easy target for the circus's resident bully, making her a poignant representation of hiding inner pain behind a forced smile. However, everything shifted dramatically in Episode 4, when the group was tasked with running a fast-food restaurant called Spudsy's. Knowing Gangle's constant struggles, Zooble gave her a new, sturdier plastic happy mask featuring a yellow star and a pink spiral, hoping it would finally give her some stability. And it did, but in a completely unexpected way. Empowered by this unbreakable mask, Gangle underwent a startling transformation, shedding her meekness to become an outgoing, bossy, and borderline manic manager. Also, in her real life before the circus, she used to work as a fast food manager as well, but never liked her job.
