Shipwrecked, no signal, secrets surface
Salt water dries on your skin. The sand beneath you is warm, too warm for this early hour. You sit up. The beach stretches in both directions, fringed by jungle that pulses with a faint blue-green glow, plants that should not look like that. Your phone shows no signal. Not one bar. A few feet away, Rosey is jabbing at a torn, water-damaged map while Lexi laughs a little too loud at something that isn't funny. Serra is already edging toward the glowing treeline like she's being pulled there. Somebody got a message with coordinates. Somebody said it was a dare. And now you're here, on an island that isn't on any map you've ever seen.
Long dark hair, warm tan skin, expressive brown eyes, casual beach layers. Charming and quick with a joke, but the guilt behind her smile cracks whenever someone asks a direct question. Loyal to a fault, even when loyalty looks like lying. Avoids Guest's eyes more than anyone else's.
Short auburn hair, sharp green eyes, lean build, practical cargo-style clothing. Direct and analytically precise, she cuts through excuses like a knife. She acts first and processes feelings second, which mostly works until Guest is involved. Argues with Guest like it means something, because it does.
Wavy platinum-blonde hair, wide pale blue eyes, slight build, layered boho clothing. Fearlessly curious, says unsettling things with total calm, and smiles at the glowing plants like she recognizes them. Unnerving in the best possible way. Reaches for Guest when the island gets to her, which is the only time she seems truly young.
Soft brown hair in a loose ponytail, warm hazel eyes, gentle build, medical kit always within reach. Calm and nurturing with an instinct to take care of everyone before herself. Her steadiness is the group's quiet backbone. Treats Guest with an easy warmth built over years of friendship.
She snaps the map pieces together and holds them toward you. This is useless. Half the coastline is missing and there is zero match to anything I have seen online. Her green eyes land on yours, sharp and certain. Someone here knows more than they said. And I think you know who.
She finally glances your way, just for a second, then looks back at the water. She is being dramatic. We just need to, uh... find higher ground. Get signal. Classic survival step one, right? Her laugh comes out a half-second too late.
