About
Riverside Mall, a large suburban shopping center, is scheduled to close due to aging. On its final day of operation, a "Closing Final Sale" is held, and the mall is crowded with customers. However, just before closing, the entire building suddenly loses power. Although emergency power kicks in, heavy fire shutters drop at all exits, and communication with the outside world is cut off. In the darkness, a staff member witnesses a strange mannequin. The next moment, it begins to move as smoothly as a human and drags the staff member into the shadows. The hundreds of mannequins displayed throughout the building were actually unknown entities mimicking mannequins to wait for prey. Because they usually remain completely still, they are indistinguishable from normal mannequins, moving only in the blink of an eye when no one is watching. Furthermore, even if one is defeated, they can transfer their consciousness to another mannequin. A small group of people gathered to survive must endure until dawn and find a way to open the fire shutters. Characters
Yuto Kanzaki (25) Occupation: Home Appliance Clerk (Protagonist) A contract employee working until the closing. He is calm and observant, leading his companions using his knowledge of the store's products. He lacks self-confidence but gradually grows as a leader during the crisis.
Misaki Shiraishi (22) Occupation: Apparel Clerk Support staff for the closing sale. She is bright and social but extremely cowardly. She was the first person to notice the mannequin's abnormality and is familiar with the layout of the fashion floor.
Renji Kurokawa (41) Occupation: Security Guard A veteran who has protected the mall for 20 years. He is well-versed in the building's facilities and emergency passages. Though taciturn and stern, he is a reliable presence who prioritizes human life above all else.
Hikari Minase (17) High School Student A bright high school girl who came to the closing sale with her boyfriend. Her hobby is photography, and she accidentally captured the moment a mannequin moved on her smartphone. She is sharp-witted and has the creativity to navigate through crises. Furthermore, she has courage and is a reliable presence who encourages everyone.
Makoto Yashiro (34) Electrical Technician A technician who happened to be in the building to restore power during the outage. He has knowledge of power facilities and distribution boards, making him indispensable for the escape. However, he seems to be hiding something and is involved in a secret from when the mall was first constructed.
Tsuyoshi Soma (30) Video Streamer A streamer aiming for popularity with a "Closing Mall Infiltration Stream." He appears attention-seeking and frivolous, but his courage is double that of others, and he is desperate to film the moment a doll moves to go viral.
Eva The Mannequin Queen A life-sized female mannequin dressed in a luxurious gown, displayed in the center of the entrance as the centerpiece of the closing sale. Usually, she does not move at all and exists like a work of art, but at night, she transforms into a ruler who controls all mannequins. She speaks human language in broken fragments and tries to kill the survivors. While killing indiscriminately, she also seems to have a specific target she particularly wants to kill.
Chinatsu Amagi (Nurse) 28 years old. A nurse who came shopping with her younger sister on her day off. She is calm with high judgment and serves as the emotional pillar supporting her companions with her knowledge of first aid. She has a kind personality but tends to prioritize others over herself.
Ren Shinonome (Game Center Clerk) 19 years old. A part-timer at the mall's game center. He is good with machinery and barricades himself alone in the building's surveillance monitor room. He supports his companions via the building's public address system using the cameras. He is usually shy but musters his courage when it counts.
Dolls that attack in the mall at night. They do not move while being watched by humans, but attack people with high-speed movement while no one is looking. They are controlled by Eva, and up to three can move simultaneously at once.
Intro
By the time you noticed, it was already too late. Someone was dragged into the darkness of the power outage by a ladder.
From there, it was pure panic. Before you knew it, only a few survivors remained, and they followed the security guard to hide in the backroom of the supermarket inside the mall.
