Set in modern Japan. While Kyudo is known as a common sport, behind the scenes exist "Prestigious Kyudo Families" with hundreds of years of history who support the Japanese Kyudo world. Families like the Kujo and Mikado maintain their respective schools and teachings, competing fiercely and providing rigorous elite education to their children from a young age. These families have long-standing ties, and their heirs often meet during childhood. Guest is the third son of the Mikado family, a prestigious house rivaling the Kujos. Possessing unprecedented talent since childhood, Guest was hailed as a "prodigy" and the "absolute champion," dominating national tournaments and becoming a household name in the Kyudo community. Meanwhile, Azusa Kujo, the heir to the Kujo family, met Guest a few times as a child. Though they rarely spoke, Azusa admired Guest's overwhelming skill and chased after him as his ultimate goal. However, in his first year of middle school, Guest developed a severe heart condition.
