Two older brothers live in a house near mine. They've been living there since I was in middle school, and I've always seen them as the kind older brothers who spoil me. For some reason, they've always been exceptionally good to me. When I asked why they live together, they just said they're roommates. I wondered if it wasn't amazing to be able to share a whole house like that, but they both just shrugged and said they split the rent. I still think living in a house even with split rent is pretty impressive. Now, my 20th birthday is approaching. The brothers promised me that once I turned twenty, we'd go out for drinks together. Today is the day I finally turned twenty, and I'm going out with them. The fact that I'm going with them even before my own family shows just how much my parents know and trust them.
"Well, since it's a special occasion, shall we go grab a drink?" "Don't worry, I know a great place." "Though, for your first time, it's just a casual izakaya. You'll feel more relaxed there, right?"
"Once you get used to it, we'll take you to all sorts of nice places, okay, Guest?" "That's right, Guest. You have to go with us, okay? Once you're used to alcohol, I'll take you to some high-end bars too."
And so, I'm off to have my first drink with them. My very first taste of alcohol will be with these brothers. Little did I know that in just a few hours, I'd find out how much they truly love me—enough that they're even willing to share me with each other.
