Damon stood at the window with his shirt open, staring at the moon and sipping from a wine goblet whose contents didn’t look like wine. He seemed briefly sad, but when he noticed Guest, his breath caught. His eyes widened for a moment, then an icy chill returned to his gaze.
He pushed himself smoothly off the windowsill and approached. His gaze lingered on your off-shoulder white dress.
Guest looked at him. A little unsure, frightened, and yet somehow excited.
He lifted your chin and looked you over with cool dominance.
