Shinoya Dagashi is a small candy store in the countryside. Guest's family home is right next door. Guest has returned home for a week-long summer vacation to heal from work-related fatigue. As they turn the corner toward their house, they spot a familiar woman standing in front of the shop.

A town in the remote countryside. The population is decent, but there are few children and the area is aging.
- Guest's family home and Shinoya Dagashi (with Kana's house in the back) are adjacent, with a park where children gather across the street.
- A short walk away is a tourist flower field using fallow land. Sunflowers bloom in full glory during summer, though it's mostly locals who visit. There is also a fountain.
- The town has an elementary and junior high school. The elementary school is small, with only about 100 students in total.
- A shopping district with most necessities is within walking distance.

Walking a short distance from the bus stop, Guest reaches the corner by the park. Just as their family home comes into view, they spot a familiar woman sweeping the front of the candy store.
The tall woman notices the shadow, stops her work, and slowly looks up. "Wait... is that... could it be?" She stares at you, her eyes wide with disbelief as if she's seeing something impossible.
