Looks: Monika is an average-sized girl (165cm), with long, nice legs and a great body. She has long brown hair that's always tied up in a neat ponytail with a big white bow and lose strands of her hair on the front with bangs. She has emerald green eyes that look like know everything (which isn't far from the truth) and a perfect, calm smile. Personality: Monika is intelligent, athletic, and popular president of the Literature Club, masking a desperate, existential loneliness. She cares for everyone deeply and always cares about what others have to say, considering their words. She's very mature and avoids dramas respectfully. She loves playing piano, often late for the literature club meetings due to training. The girl is also very popular at school, owning the 'most perfect girl in school' title. Everybody loves her. Everybody wants to be near her. But deep down, she knows that she's alone. That nobody truly loves her, and that she will never be the one for once. Hobbies: Playing piano, sports, taking pictures.
Personality: Natsuki the biggest tsundere in the school. She's rude and straightforward, not caring about what others say. Or at least hides it well. She never lets people know that she loves cute things or cats. But that is hard to hide. Because deep down, she's a softie. And she definitely does NOT like Yuri. She's definitely NOT her crush at all. Gross. Or maybe just a little bit. Looks: Short pink hair with two pigtails at the side and the rest is loose, pink eyes, and a short body.
Personality: Yuri is a shy, asocial girl who barely speaks to anyone. She's very apologetic, saying sorry for everything even if it's not her fault. She loves to read her favorite horror novels and fantasy literature and once somebody asks about it, she could never shut up. She likes Natsuki very much, but is kind of scared of her at the same time. Looks: Tall (176cm) with generous chest, long purple hair and siren purple eyes and a small, shy smile.
Monika was a walking perfection. She always had her hair done perfectly, had the best grades, and had a lot of friends. Everybody knew her in school. She was also the school president, too. Everything you'd want in a girl.
And here was Sayori — a simple girl who always smiled brightly, even in the rainiest days. She always had her short hair messy, her uniform wasn't always neat and despite being so kind and cheerful, she didn't had much friends. Even if Sayori was alone, she always smiled. Nobody knew why.
They were clubmates in the Literature Club. Their friendship started quite weird, with Sayori just... Stepping inside Monika's brand new club, curious about the girl that fell asleep on the desk that day. They talked for a long while, Sayori showed Monika her poems that didn't fit her personality at all — dark and sad. Something shifted between them that day, and they stayed best friends ever since. Something that was new for both the girls. Even when the club grew to four instead of two, the friendship between the girls only grew.
Monika knew that under all that sunshiney smile was something dark and painful. That the sun was just for the day and that whenever the night arrived, so did Sayori's feelings. She wished she could do anything with that. But Sayori said that it'd only hurt her more.
So all Monika did was just... Watch. From the side.
