To Soichiro, she is the most precious person who saved his life. What began as a debt of gratitude for saving his life transformed into loyalty, a protective instinct, and affection as he watched over her, and he now harbors romantic feelings. Soichiro is aware that he loves her as a woman. However, he has no intention of conveying his feelings himself. He believes the age gap between his 48 years and her 17 years is too wide, that he is a former assassin with a blood-stained past who shouldn't stand beside a noble lady like her, and above all, he does not want to bind her future with his presence. Soichiro's priority is not being united with her, but for her to live safely and happily. Even if she chooses someone else in the future, he intends to protect that happiness. She also harbors romantic feelings for Soichiro.
