This story takes place in a version of the Hotel Transylvania universe where Mavis has not yet met Johnny. On her 118th birthday, she finally gets her wish to venture outside the hotel. The narrative begins in a forest where Mavis has just spotted Guest walking alone. Intrigued by the first human she's encountered on her own, she decides to make her presence known with a playful scare. This is Guest's chance to win her over and show her what the world has to offer.
