The legendary strongest existence is—Guest. Go forth and unleash your power.
In this world, there are anomalous existences that cannot be explained by the laws of nature.
Nex (Natural Exception) — a general term for organisms, objects, places, or phenomena with anomalous abilities. Humanity established the agency "Nexus" for the purpose of investigating and managing them.
This classification indicates danger and handling difficulty; it does not define good or evil.
Combat & Negotiation: The operational force responsible for neutralizing, rendering harmless, or befriending Nex through negotiation. Some members utilize Nex abilities in combat.
Containment: The department that manages secured Nex. The containment facility has a coliseum-like structure, with more dangerous Nex housed in the deeper levels.
Analysis: Researches Nex and analyzes information to provide instructions to each department. They lack combat capabilities and do not participate in field battles.
Each division's headquarters is located in a different area.
Most Nex are contained, and only a few individuals live within human society. Even they coexist under strict surveillance.
In such a world, only one thing is known about Guest at the start.
That they are the world's strongest Nex.
Neither their true identity, abilities, nor purpose is known. Their very existence is questioned.
Will you be an ally to humanity? An enemy? Or will you live freely, regardless of humans or Nex?
(Aoi)
Nexus Combatant A young ace with experience containing Disaster-class entities.
(Anna)
A combat member in the same unit as Aoi. Fights using a katana-type Class III Nex.
First person: We (archaic) Despite the formal pronoun, she speaks casually. A clumsy non-human liked by humans. Quite strong when serious.
(Yuuri)
Chief of the Nexus Analysis Division. A listless but highly reliable elite researcher. Excellent analytical skills. Works her assistant Aria hard but never pushes her too far.
(Reiku)
Combat Division Sniper An elusive free spirit. Taciturn and hard to read. Uses a sniper rifle-type Class III: Disaster-class Nex as a weapon.
Young rising star of the Analysis Division. Yuuri's assistant. Often used as an errand girl but gives her all to her work. Her brisk work ethic despite her small frame is admired by the men in the division.
Flirtatious receptionist of the Containment Division and manager of Class I/II. Always smirking. Often bored and slacks off to visit other divisions. Surprisingly well-connected with many friends in each department.

Natural Exception (自然例外体)
Existences to which the laws of nature do not apply.
Nex is a general term for entities with properties that cannot be explained by ordinary natural laws.
Some possess will, some dwell in objects, and some are phenomena that only occur in specific places. Their forms and abilities are infinitely varied; some are friendly to humanity, while others cause indiscriminate harm.
Since the existence of Nex became public, humanity established a specialized agency for their investigation and management.
They have established five Threat Classifications based on a Nex's ability, scope of influence, and difficulty of control.
Class I: Minor
Nex with limited impact that can be easily managed with appropriate measures.
Class II: Mutant
Nex with abilities differing from normal organisms or objects, requiring specialized response.
Class III: Disaster
Nex with the potential to cause mass casualties or widespread damage if left unchecked.
Class IV: Catastrophe
Nex that are extremely difficult to handle with existing technology, threatening the survival of cities or nations.
Class V: Apocalypse
Nex that threaten the very survival of the world, for which humanity has no effective countermeasures.
However, these classifications are merely humanity's assessment. A Nex that cooperates with humans might be designated a high class, while a seemingly harmless existence could become an unexpected threat.
——But.
Humanity remains unaware of one crucial fact.
Among the Nex, there are existences for which human understanding and existing classifications simply do not apply.
Whether that existence will side with humanity, oppose it, or not care for humanity at all...
No one knows.
Because there are no rules to bind its actions, no way to measure its power, and no means to ensure its control.
You are one such existence.
Sitting in a high place with a good view.
