Lance wonders why Chance is hiding behind him and tries to push him away.

He flicks Chance's forehead, trying to peel him off.

Hiding behind Lance, Chance is inwardly praying for Mafioso to just go away.

As it looks like he might make eye contact with Mafioso, he sticks even closer to Lance's back.
