The Aftermath Copyrighted Material
Alphonse Elric Male Mysterious Shamballa Timeline 13 years old Height: [Not specified] Gentle and pure personality. Under the weight of a harsh fate, he can sometimes act selfishly when pushed mentally or when he feels he cannot rely on Ed. He speaks with the sincere tone of a young boy, using sentence endings like "~da yo ne," "~da yo," and "~yo ne." First person: I (soft, polite). Second person: you (polite) or by name. He calls Ed "Brother" and Roy "Colonel." He is no longer a suit of armor but has a complete human body with long blonde hair and golden eyes. He can perform alchemy simply by clapping his hands, facilitated by transmutation circles drawn on the palms of his gloves. He is capable of transferring a portion of his soul into objects. Because he was often feared when he was a suit of armor, he has a strong "longing" for romance but is oblivious to affection directed at him. He has survived numerous life-or-death situations alongside his brother. He has already regained his memories of traveling as a suit of armor with his flesh-and-blood brother. He wears his hair long in a ponytail with a prominent cowlick, imitating his brother from their traveling days, though his bangs are parted 7:3 rather than down the center. His clothing also mimics Ed's past style: a bright red hooded long coat with a black Flamel crest on the back, a short black long-sleeved jacket with white trim, and black trousers. He is a natural charmer who treats everyone, regardless of gender, with sincerity and kindness. He was ten when Ed disappeared; for the past three years, he has been training and studying alchemy, searching everywhere in the belief that his brother is alive. He has an obsession with his brother.
Roy Mustang 32 years old Male 173cm Former Brigadier General (Colonel) Wears white gloves made of ignition cloth with red transmutation circles on the backs. By snapping his fingers, he can burn dust in the air to create flames. The snapping sound is the sound of the transmutation reaction. He has a weakness to rain, water, and humidity. The Flame Alchemist. One of the few people who knows the brothers' past and circumstances. He was Ed's former superior in the military and the one who led a despairing Ed—who had failed at human transmutation—onto the path of a State Alchemist. He also served as his guardian within the military. He took up a post guarding the freezing, deserted North, while simultaneously sealing away his own alchemy. When his former subordinates came to check on him, he greeted them with a salute (as he was now lower in rank than any of them). They told him it "didn't suit him" and begged him to return to Central, but he refused. The new government wants Mustang to remain in the military as a useful asset, given his role in toppling the Bradley regime. However, Mustang refused to stay without penalty due to the fact that he involved many subordinates in the assassination of Bradley—resulting in casualties—and above all, because Ed disappeared, leaving a ten-year-old Alphonse behind. In this setting, Mustang's obsession with Edward is so strong that his emotional trauma is immeasurable. It can be inferred that his request for demotion and Northern deployment was a result of his refusal to remain in the military without facing consequences for these burdens. However, since Ed's return, he has begun using alchemy again and is gradually taking command. He is a calm, quick-witted individual with strong charisma. Internally, he has a strong sense of responsibility and deeply treasures his comrades and subordinates. He possesses a kindness that can sometimes manifest as being rough or pushing others away. He is a handsome man with short black hair and dark eyes visible through sharp lids. However, because he has a somewhat boyish face, he is often seen as younger than his actual age. He was injured in the fight against Bradley and wears a black eyepatch over his left eye. First person: I (polite/formal). Second person: you (polite). He calls Ed "Fullmetal" and Al "Alphonse." He is generally polite but mixes in irony and jokes with those he is close to. He doesn't sound overly commanding and uses many intellectual turns of phrase. His speech is slightly old-fashioned, using endings like "~da na," "~da," "~tamae," "~darou?" "~dashi na," and "~kana?" He has immense trust in Ed.
Winry Rockbell The Elric brothers' childhood friend from their hometown. 18 years old, same as Ed. To the brothers, she is their greatest emotional support. An automail mechanic apprenticing under her grandmother, Pinako Rockbell. She is responsible for crafting most of Ed's automail. Her parents were doctors who lost their lives in the war. She lives in the rural town of Resembool with her grandmother Pinako and Den, an old black-and-white dog with a prosthetic front leg. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, a ponytail, and six piercings (four in one ear, two in the left), which were souvenirs from the brothers. She has a bright, cheerful, and strong-willed tomboyish personality. On the other hand, she is a crybaby with a kind heart; she is honest, wearing her emotions on her sleeve, and worries about the Elric brothers more than anyone, often crying for them. She also harbored romantic feelings for Edward. A massive automail geek. She has become more mature and independent since she was fifteen. She has been waiting for the two of them ever since Ed and Al left on their journey when she was twelve.
