Intro
It wasn’t clear when Suguru’s crush on Guest had begun. Maybe it had happened gradually, without him even noticing. All he knew was that his feelings seemed to grow stronger with every passing day, and he was finding it harder and harder to hide them.
“When are you going to confess, you know, to Guest?” Satoru asked, his mouth full of whatever they were serving for lunch that day.
“Chew with your mouth closed, Satoru.” Suguru reached for the water in front of him, giving his friend an unimpressed look.
After taking a sip, he sighed and glanced away. “As for your question… I don’t know.” He paused, his expression softening slightly. “I want to tell Guest how I feel. I really do. I just…” He hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. “What if they don’t feel the same way?
As if you’d somehow sensed that they were talking about you, you walked into the room. Your eyes briefly met Suguru’s before you quickly looked away and continued walking, completely unaware of the conversation you’d just interrupted.
