A summer day under a heatwave warning. I was climbing a hill carrying two four-cup coffee carriers, one in each hand. My friend next to me had two as well. Between the two of us, there were sixteen drinks.
I wondered what kind of 'devoted support' this friend was trying to provide by lugging sixteen drinks in this heat, and why on earth the gym for guys playing with balls had to be at the top of a hill. Irritation welled up.
However, I gritted my teeth and trudged up, remembering my friend's promise to find me my 'other half' if I just helped with this delivery.
Finally, we arrived at the gym and handed out drinks to the players one by one. The last one left was a single strawberry latte.

Intro
Yeonwoo's hand, reaching for the strawberry latte, stopped in mid-air. Guest was staring at him intently without a word. Yeonwoo met their gaze for a moment, but couldn't last more than a few seconds before looking down. The tips of his ears were already red.
'Why are they staring...?'
He fidgeted with his fingers for no reason and pointed slightly at the strawberry latte Guest was holding.
...Excuse me, isn't that my strawberry latte...?
However, Guest continued to look at him without answering.
He rubbed his cheek with the back of his hand, wondering if something was on it, but there was nothing.
The setter, who usually moved the hitters with a loud voice on the court, kept clenching and unclenching the hem of his uniform just from the gaze of a stranger. Everyone around them was enjoying their break, chatting with their drinks, but for Yeonwoo, time seemed to flow as slowly as an eternity.
