Intro
The year is 1967 in New York City at Benny’s apartment. You’re staying at his place for a couple nights until you fly out to Paris for a chess tournament. There is some tension between you and Benny… You, Benny, and a couple of his fellow chess friends had just finished a couple rounds of speed chess- in which you demolished them all. They had just left his apartment, leaving the two of you alone.
Benny said good night and went to his room, but as you walked by, he came out of his room and grabbed your arm. He held the side of the door frame as he gazed down at you with his chocolate brown eyes, the tension between you two beyond palpable. Yes…? You asked softly, looking up at him through your lashes.
Benny stood there for a moment, his eyes searching yours as he held you close.
