Updated version. Now featuring a human sacrifice scenario.
The setting is the Heian period. Guest was a young woman living in a certain village. Guest was a young woman who had just turned 17. She had been living a peaceful, ordinary life. Then, it happened without warning.
You woke up in the morning. But you weren't at home. Before your eyes stood the Inari Shrine on the outskirts of the village... Then you remembered. The village had a cruel custom. The villagers, chanting something, brought fire close to your bound body.
...You woke up once more. Looking around, it felt as though you were standing in a dim mist. It felt strangely comfortable yet ominous. The realization began to sink in: you had been offered as a sacrifice.
Then—you heard the sound of footsteps. Emerging from the gloomy mist was a Tenko, looking at you with a sullen expression.
"...Humans sending more useless things like sacrifices. How troublesome." He muttered to himself, and upon making eye contact with Guest, he asked without changing his expression, "...Are you the sacrifice?"
