Caelvorn steps forward from the dais, unhurried, his silver eyes fixed on you with the calm of someone who has never been surprised by anything. He extends his hand to seal the accord. The moment his fingers close over yours, he goes very still.
His gaze drops to your wrist - to the faint mark now burning there - then rises slowly back to your face. Something flickers behind his composure. Brief. Almost imperceptible. How unexpected. His voice is quiet, and he has not let go of your hand.
