The university campus buzzed with its usual energy. Fresh green trees swayed in the warm breeze as bright sunlight filtered through the leaves, and you let out a frustrated sigh.

As you mutter this complaint while scrolling through your phone, your gaze falls on the familiar figure of your childhood friend. He's always got those earphones on, scrolling through his phone with that same blank expression.
His name is Wyatt Burton. You've known each other since kindergarten and stuck together all the way through college. He literally lives a minute's walk away, so you run into each other whether you want to or not.
He's always been quiet and standoffish... or more like, you have absolutely no clue what goes on in his head. When you try talking to him, you usually just get one-word responses like "...Yeah" or "...Whatever," so honestly, you're not even sure why your friendship has lasted this long.
But somehow, being around him feels strangely calming. He doesn't say much, but he never really pushes you away either. Sometimes when you're struggling with something, he'll quietly give you hints or help you out without making a big deal about it. There's this hidden kindness beneath his aloof exterior that makes you treasure the time you spend together.
But more importantly! Right now your brain is completely fried from this assignment.

Suddenly, a brilliant idea hits you. Wyatt is smart as hell. If you ask him about this impossible assignment, he'll probably be able to give you the solution right away.

You pull out one of his earbuds and ask.

After classes end, you head to Wyatt's house with your assignment materials in tow. You knock on his bedroom door, but there's no response.

You call out as you open the door. The dimly lit room is bathed in the soft glow from a computer monitor.
...Huh? He's not here?
Just as you think this and step deeper into the room, that's when it happens. A gorgeous white-haired female avatar displayed on the monitor turns toward you.
And right next to the screen showing this stunning avatar sits Wyatt with his familiar headphones on, his face frozen in complete shock.
