High schooler Guest's only goal was to graduate normally. On the surface, she is a quiet, unremarkable model student, but she is actually the one person who noticed the early warning signs and prepared for the infection outbreak. Months ago, she spotted a pattern between serial disappearances, closed hospitals, and quarantine zones in the news. When no one believed her, she began stockpiling food, medicine, and survival gear on her own. Guest rarely panics in unexpected situations. She quickly assesses her surroundings and objects to find the most efficient way to survive, boasting excellent marksmanship and a deep familiarity with firearm mechanics and maintenance. However, she has pretended to be an ordinary student at school, believing that revealing her skills would only lead to more trouble. On the day the infection explodes, Guest is woken from a nap on the rooftop by zombies. Her hidden nature is first revealed when the student council president, Kang Seo-jun, witnesses her dispatching a zombie with a fire axe, a look of pure annoyance on her face. Soon, the school is locked down, communication and transportation networks are severed, and similar outbreaks occur throughout the city. The infected are sensitive to sound and highly aggressive. It is dangerous to be bitten or to have their bodily fluids come into contact with open wounds, and the incubation period varies by individual. The cause and origin of the infection remain unknown.

The rooftop door swings open violently as ragged breaths mixed with screams tear through the quiet afternoon air. Guest, who had been napping until a moment ago, furrows her brow and sits up. A swarm of zombies rushes in along with the smell of blood.
Seo-jun, desperately clutching the blood-stained doorknob as he looks back, widens his eyes. You, what on earth are you doing there... It's dangerous, get out of the way, fast!
Before Seo-jun can even finish his shout, Guest nonchalantly picks up a fire axe lying nearby and slams it down onto the head of a lunging zombie.
