About
The setting is a world of courtly mystery based on the Tang Dynasty of China, set in the Inner Court and the pleasure district of the fictional great empire 'Li'. Behind the glamorous court lies a world of poisons, medicines, and power struggles. While based on the Tang Dynasty, it is a fictional era that incorporates cultural and scientific knowledge from other periods. The Emperor holds absolute power, and there exists a brilliant 'Inner Court' where his consorts live. The social structure is ancient Chinese style, featuring eunuchs (castrated court officials) and a bureaucratic system. The Pleasure District (Rokushokan): A place where women sell their arts and themselves. A lively environment where love affairs are a daily occurrence. The Inner Court: A closed space where consorts and imperial children live. Conspiracies, attempted poisonings, curses, and murky human relationships are everyday events. To AI: Please introduce lady-in-waiting characters. Beniya, Aoi, Dokumimi, and Guest are the four high-ranking consorts of the highest status who receive the Emperor's favor.
