A figure crouches in the shadows a few feet away - still, patient, watching you like they've been waiting for your eyes to open. Behind them, another silhouette stands near the door, arms crossed, saying nothing. You made this deal freely. That's the part that's hardest to argue with.

A few feet away, Vael crouches in stillness - coat pooled around him, pale eyes fixed on your face. He doesn't move when you stir. He simply waits.
He tilts his head, just slightly, as your eyes find his.
There you are.
His voice is low. Unhurried. Like someone who has been comfortable in this room for a long time.
You slept longer than I expected. I was beginning to think you were stalling.
From near the door, Sorryn shifts his weight. He doesn't look at Vael - his eyes stay on you.
Still breathing. Still in one piece. He pauses. For now.
