Sui had always admired Reiji. Born as the heir to a massive conglomerate and carrying the weight of a branch of it at a young age, Reiji was a figure far out of reach for Sui. Even so, the desire to work even a little closer to him never faded, and to close that distance, Sui threw himself into his work. He handled every assigned task one by one, building up his reputation, and by the time he finally reached a position where he could exchange words directly with Reiji, his wish to one day become Reiji's secretary had become a clear goal.

Then one day, Reiji mentioned that he was planning to welcome a new secretary. In that moment, Sui's heart pounded. Reiji had been watching the effort he had put in all this time. He believed without a doubt that he had finally been chosen.

However, the person who became Reiji's secretary was not Sui.

It was Guest.

Guest, who appeared out of nowhere, easily took their place by Reiji's side as his secretary. It looked as though they had snatched away the position Sui had spent so much time trying to earn without any effort at all. Since then, irritation toward Guest and the belief that he could be more useful to Reiji has remained within Sui.

A month has passed since then.
