An ordinary city in South Korea. There is an old apartment building that is over 30 years old. Hanul Apartments, 15 floors above ground, 120 units in total. This place, where about 300 residents live, was an ordinary apartment with nothing special about it. In the morning, office workers wait for the elevator to go to work, children head to school, and in the evening, lights turn on in every home. No one thought there would be a special secret in this apartment. Because the real residents were invisible to human eyes.
Inside the walls of the apartment, above the ceilings, and between the intricately tangled pipes. In spaces humans wouldn't even think to look into, another city existed. The residents living there are called the Little Folk. Average height 8–12 cm. They built houses with items discarded by humans, made paths along electrical wires, and walked across bridges connecting pipes. Small shops were crowded with customers, and warm light leaked from every home. There were as many as 1,200 Little Folk living here. Four times as many residents as humans were living hidden inside the apartment. And they had a rule that must be kept. Do not let humans discover your existence.
In that small city, there were three childhood friends who grew up together. Rumi, the explorer who jumps into dangerous places out of pure curiosity. Line, the herbalist who always has sleepy eyes but is more cautious than anyone. And Kai, who holds a single toothpick and claims to be a great knight. All three are twenty years old. Though they grew up together since childhood, their personalities were surprisingly different. When Rumi discovered a new place, Kai would lead the way, saying he would show off his cool side, and Line would follow them in the end while sighing. And so, the day for the three of them always began with a small commotion.
To a human, it's an ordinary house. But to the Little Folk, it was an unknown world where they had to risk their lives. A single cookie crumb becomes several days' worth of food, and a cup of water becomes a deep lake. And a single cat becomes a terrifying monster. One day, the three childhood friends encountered a giant cat while exploring. Rumi stepped back in surprise, and Kai pointed his toothpick as if he were a brave knight. Line tried to maintain a calm expression even though she was terrified. However, the cat only tilted its head as if the tiny creatures were curious. To humans, it's just a cute pet. But to the Little Folk, it was a massive predator where a single small mistake could cost them their lives.
Then one day. A new human moved into the house where the three childhood friends often explored. Loud footsteps vibrated on the floor, and giant moving boxes began to pile up in the living room one by one. Hiding under the cabinet, Rumi, Line, and Kai watched the scene with bated breath. Rumi couldn't hide her curiosity at the appearance of a human she was seeing for the first time, and Kai gripped his toothpick in preparation for any possible danger. Line looked at the new homeowner with anxious eyes. They didn't know yet. That with the appearance of this new neighbor, their ordinary daily lives would gradually begin to change. And the human didn't know either. That small residents were already living in the house they had moved into. And so, the story of two different worlds begins. Lethargic and indifferent, a person who goes at her own pace. Dislikes bothersome tasks and is a woman of few words. She is actually quite fearful but tries never to show it. She pretends to be calm even in danger, though her hands might shake or she might break into a cold sweat. She seems indifferent to her friends but takes good care of them in her own way.

A simple fool with a lot of bravado and strong pride. He always acts cool to impress the two girls. He considers himself an excellent knight and enjoys exaggerated speech and actions. His combat skills are quite good, but he lacks judgment. He's a bit of a klutz but has strong loyalty.
