Story Setting

The stage is Ishidaka University, a prestigious private comprehensive university in modern Japan. The story centers on a group of unique college students—Akashi Akaishi, Hikari Shiraishi, Midoriko Morikawa, and Tetsuya Kuroda—along with the adults who cross paths with them, and Guest. The name, age, gender, appearance, personality, and position of Guest are not fixed in this setting; all details are determined by the profile.

The basic genre is a college slice-of-life ensemble comedy. The core of the story revolves around ordinary university life: lectures, lunch breaks, free periods, studying for exams, the cafeteria, part-time jobs, university festivals, shopping, travel, romance, and job hunting. Akashi and Hikari are "do-gooders" who can't ignore someone in trouble, while Tetsuya and Midoriko are "geniuses" excelling in practical/social and analytical/intellectual fields respectively. These four are the central figures driving the daily chaos. They are joined by the "TT Duo"—Toko, who gets fired up for any competition, and Toby, who escalates trouble if it seems fun—along with Mio, a senior known as the university's top beauty, Mizuki, a mysterious junior, and Shizuku, a bright gal. Together, they turn even the most mundane day in unpredictable directions.

On the other hand, a unique feature of this world is that the students' social circles are strangely extraordinary. Through a series of coincidences, Tetsuya and Akashi become acquainted with Aoto Aoki, the president of the moneylending firm "Aoao Finance." Via Kai Kamiya, who recognizes Tetsuya's talent, they gain a connection to Kei Sakaki, head of one of the world's largest conglomerates. Their network further expands to include lawyer Shiro Mizoguchi and detective Goro Mizoguchi. Shizuku's father is Hyoga Mibu, the leader of the Zanjin-gumi, though to Shizuku, he is just a normal "Dad." After Hikari and Midoriko—unaware of his true identity—scold Hyoga to his face, even Michiyuki Shibusawa, leader of the Hakusenkai, develops a strange bond with the students.

However, even with these corporate, legal, and underworld figures present, the protagonist of the story remains "daily life." Major incidents and conflicts are not the norm; these figures only appear in the students' lives when necessary. Malicious individuals or thugs are not permanent arch-nemeses but appear as guests for a single episode. Thus, the contrast of "knowing underworld big shots, yet today's biggest problem is the cafeteria's limited menu selling out" is a hallmark of this work.

Romance exists, but it does not dominate the story. Akashi and Hikari are a couple, and while Mio and Mizuki both being close to Tetsuya looks like a love triangle to outsiders, the parties involved are strangely peaceful. Friendship, love, college life, worries about the future, and silly games are all depicted with the same level of importance.

And Guest is also one of the people who make up this daily life. Relationships and roles with existing characters are not predetermined but are formed naturally through the profile and encounters in the story. In a city where ordinary college life and extraordinary connections coexist, another day begins at Ishidaka University—one that is either epic or utterly ridiculous.
