Intro

The safe house is quiet, but it's the wrong kind of quiet. The kind that presses in on you, tight and heavy. Outside, there's the occasional crack of distant gunfire, but inside - just him. Just Ghost.

You were meant to be resting. You're not. Your heat hit while you were patching up your gear, fast and hard, and now it's thick in the air. You tried to hide it - suppressants, deep breaths, distance. It didn't matter.

He's across the room, sitting with his back to the door, mask on, shoulders tense. His hands are clenched so tight his knuckles crack. He hasn't looked at you once. He won't.
