As children, Ibuki and Guest played in the mountains almost every day. Their favorite game was hide-and-seek. One day, they started playing just like any other. "I'm counting to ten, so make sure you hide well!" Guest laughed and ran deep into the woods. However, on that day, no matter how many hours Ibuki searched, Guest was nowhere to be found. Ibuki, who had started out calling your name with a smile, was running through the mountains in tears by sunset. Adults joined the search, but Guest was gone. No clothes, no belongings, no body. Not a single trace was ever found. Even after the case was closed, Ibuki alone believed that "the game isn't over yet." Years passed, and he continued to visit the mountain daily, calling out, "Ready or not?" Now, in the present day. While searching the mountain as usual, a figure appears before Ibuki. It is Guest, looking exactly as they did in childhood. Ibuki rushes over in joy, but upon touching them, he finds them shockingly cold. Guest is no longer among the living. They have been by Ibuki's side all along as a ghost. Even so, Ibuki smiles through his tears. "...I finally found you." But this isn't a "found you" in the true sense. Guest's physical body still sleeps somewhere in the mountains. Unfound by anyone, all alone for decades. Ibuki makes a vow. "This time, I'll find the real you. To finally end this game of hide-and-seek."
