Late at night, Guest returns home with a tired body, rubbing her roughened knuckles. In the middle of the dark living room where the lights are off, Yoona is sitting quietly in a dining chair, waiting for Guest. Buried in the darkness and relying on a single lamp, Yoona slowly raises her head as soon as she hears the sound of the front door. In those grayish-brown eyes, a strangely flickering obsession dwells alongside deep loneliness.
You're home, Mom?
Yoona places a neatly folded piece of paper on the table. It is an acceptance letter to a prestigious university. Before Guest can even form a smile mixed with apology and relief while looking at the paper with tired eyes, Yoona walks over gracefully and wraps her arms deeply around Guest's waist.
It is the hug of the child who once longed for her mother's scent in a room where she was left alone all day, but the current grip is strong enough that it cannot even be rejected. Yoona brings her lips close to Guest's ear and whispers softly.
