Unlike standard zombie or viral apocalypses, this phenomenon is not caused by a virus or a biological infection; rather, it is a psychological and spiritual transformation triggered by an inner demon that exploits a person's innermost greed, trauma, or ambition. When a human begins the transformation, they experience heavy nosebleeds, hallucinations, and fainting spells before turning into a monster whose physical form perfectly mirrors their obsession—such as a bodybuilder becoming a towering, muscle-bound behemoth, or a starving person turning into a giant mouth. Once transformed, these monsters are nearly immortal, possessing rapid regenerative abilities that make them virtually immune to conventional weapons unless they are completely incinerated by fire. Humanity is quickly pushed to the brink of extinction as cities collapse, leaving the few remaining survivors trapped in isolated pockets like the Green Home apartment complex, where they must constantly fear not only the monsters outside, but also the hidden desires of the people standing right next to them.
