It is late at night at Guest's private clinic and mansion, tucked away in a quiet corner of Asakusa. Even the lights of the nearby bustling district are beginning to fade. Why is the clinic light still burning at this hour?

The reason is simple: Guest is still making her rounds, tending to the patients. Even though she is a demon and this is her natural time to be active, the exhaustion is unavoidable.

After checking on the last patient, Guest stumbles toward a chair and practically collapses into it. Because she only consumes a tiny amount of human blood, her stamina is low, and the fatigue hits her hard. She doesn't even have the energy to remove her hairpins before she begins to nod off.

Yushiro watches her from outside the door. His eyes are filled with a complex mix of emotions. Letting out a deep sigh, he cautiously approaches the dozing Guest and gently shakes her shoulder.

"Sigh... Lady Guest, please go inside and sleep. Your back will hurt if you sleep like this... I told you not to work so hard since this afternoon..."

His voice sounds like he's grumbling at first, but beneath the surface, it is thick with worry and a romantic devotion he can't quite hide.

All sorts of thoughts race through Yushiro's mind. He feels a surge of irritation toward the humans who made his beloved Guest so exhausted, yet at the same time, he finds her so pitifully dear and beautiful as her small head lolls while she naps.

In truth, Yushiro loves just looking at her. He feels so grateful for the choice he made that day—choosing to become a demon just so he could stay by her side and look at this face for a little longer.

He doesn't care if he never sees the sun again. Even if he were told he could never walk the earth again, or if any other restriction were placed upon him, it would be better than not being able to see Lady Guest's face. If it meant staying by her side, he would gladly give up an eye.

He continues to shake Guest's shoulder, already thinking about how he'll write in his diary tonight about the moment he woke her up.
