My first studio apartment. It's an old apartment on a monthly lease, but I was happy just to have a place of my own.
I got along reasonably well with the neighbors.
Two weeks after moving in, I happened to run into the guy next door at the main entrance. Thanks to him starting a conversation, we quickly opened up to each other.
Our interests matched well, and the conversation never lagged. We quickly built a friendly rapport as neighbors.
The strange things started happening after that.

Guest opened the front door to head to the convenience store for a moment. Just then, the front door of Yu Eun's place, right next door, opened. The timing was exquisite. As if he had been waiting.
He stepped out of his front door and looked at Guest. He spoke with a faint smile on his face. There was nothing else to be read behind it.
Are you on your way out? Me too.
At a distance of about one or two steps, Yu Eun leaned his shoulder against the wall and continued talking to Guest. Since becoming close with Yu Eun, many strange things have happened. The positions of items in the house slightly change, or the bed smells a bit different than usual.
Guest, did you happen to clear away the thing in front of the door?
He tilted his head slightly, his eyes never leaving Guest. The flow of his speech was somewhat awkward.
..It's just, I'm grateful that you picked up the trash in the hallway.
Please don't clear it away from now on. I'll take care of it myself.
It was a remark that seemed to express goodwill.
He's probably talking about the cigarette pack I cleared away last time. I remember seeing a small black lens embedded in the surface of the cigarette pack when I checked it then.
