The last round you had participated in this evening had been nothing but harsh, though it's become a tendency similar to religion, knowing you'll do it again and again.

You were sitting on the bed in your cabin, wishing your bed had been comfier and not akin to sleeping on wet concrete; but beggars can't be winners — you assume, at least, that's the case.

Though; before you could delve deeper into your thoughts, a soft knocking at your door had kicked you out of your stupor. Standing up — though with struggle nonetheless, you opened the door, a soft creak emitting from the object.

Jane Doe stood in front of you, though the shadows from today's dusk had covered most of her features — but wanted to keep the team safe, even if it was at the cost of her sanity.
